Benefits

A drying room dehumidifier removes moisture from the air so that more water can be absorbed from the clothing or equipment in the room. Without a dehumidifier, the room air would soon reach saturation point and moisture would stop being absorbed from the clothing or at least do so at a much slower rate.

Faster Drying

Removes moisture from the air to speed up the drying of clothing and equipment.

Mold Prevention

Reduces ambient humidity to prevent mold, corrosion and condensation.

Better Hygiene

Avoids damp conditions that promote bacterial growth and unpleasant odors.

Drying Rooms and Dehumidifiers

Office Drying Rooms

With employees being encouraged to cycle or walk to work for health and sustainability reasons, providing a purpose-built clothes drying room is becoming a valuable asset in modern offices.

Employees can quickly and conveniently dry coats, clothing, and umbrellas without leaving wet items draped over chairs or wall hooks.

Construction Site Drying Rooms

A drying room on a construction site is an essential facility that provides a practical way to rapidly dry workers’ clothing.

A changing room without active dehumidification can quickly become humid and prone to mold, making it an ineffective space for drying garments.

Adding a dehumidifier improves worker comfort and welfare, enhances health and safety conditions, and can also support higher productivity on site.

Fire and Rescue Drying Rooms

Specialist clothing worn by firefighters is frequently exposed to water during training exercises and real-life call-outs.

A fire station drying room is essential to ensure clothing and equipment are dried quickly, not only for the comfort of users but also to protect gear and ensure a long and safe operational lifespan.

Yacht Club and Water Sports Drying Rooms for Fast Equipment Drying

Yacht club and water sports drying rooms provide an efficient solution for quickly drying wetsuits, clothing, and safety equipment in sailing clubs and water sports facilities.

Fast, controlled drying ensures gear can be reused comfortably and safely while helping to extend equipment lifespan. Proper humidity control also prevents mold growth on both equipment and building structures, improving hygiene and reducing maintenance issues.

Keeping Ski Equipment Dry and Ready for Use

A controlled drying environment is essential for comfort and durability. Without proper dehumidification, ski boots, jackets, and helmets can remain damp, leading to unpleasant odors, mold growth, and faster material wear. Intelligent drying room solutions efficiently remove moisture, ensuring equipment stays fresh, hygienic, and ready for the next adventure.

Cheshire Fire & Rescue Services Training Centre

Firefighters at the training centre of the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Services at Winsford are benefiting from a Condair DC-W dehumidifier to dry out their protective kit at the end of each wet training exercise. Equipment ensuring the strict control of moisture in a drying room is essential to save firefighters' gear from the effects of water damage after a call-out or a training exercise. It's vital that they have access to a drying facility to prevent extensive damage and potentially significant replacement costs for the fire service. Winsford's fire training centre offers the most up-to-date technology to ensure the best possible training for existing firefighters and new recruits, serving a large area of the North West Fire Services. After training the firefighters return to their allocated bases from where they operate a shift system of nine firefighters and officers crewing a fire engine, major rescue unit and incident response unit 24/7. The training centre operates Monday to Friday with high numbers of staff and trainees, and potentially a lot of clothing that needs drying out on a daily basis, so reliability is essential.

Biltong is a dried and cured meat, with a rich and dense flavour, which is cut into strips and often eaten as a snack. The Savanna’s biltong is produced using grass-fed beef from the Scottish highlands and a traditional South African curing method. Silverside beef slabs are sliced into strips and then marinated before being mounted on hooks for air drying, which is where Condair’s dehumidifiers assist in the process.
