Efficient Humidity Control at Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Twin Towers

As one of Frankfurt’s most recognizable skyline landmarks and a symbol of German economic strength, the Deutsche Bank Twin Towers combine bold 1980s architecture with cutting-edge sustainability after their comprehensive green renovation. Condair is proud to support this iconic complex with advanced Condair DL hybrid humidification solutions that ensure hygienic indoor humidity, occupant well-being and energy-efficient climate control.

The Deutsche Bank Twin Towers

Frankfurt’s iconic Deutsche Bank Twin Towers (“Soll und Haben”), two 509 ft mirrored high-rises completed in 1984, serve as headquarters for Germany’s largest bank and offer 1,291,668 ft² of office space.

During the pioneering €200 m green refurbishment (2007–2010), the towers received new high-performance glazing and cutting-edge technology, cutting energy use by 50% and CO₂ emissions by almost 90% (LEED Platinum & DGNB Gold).

To ensure a healthy, comfortable indoor climate year round in this fully air-conditioned high-rise, precise humidity control is provided by Condair DL hybrid humidifiers.

The Condair DL is the next generation of the Condair Dual2, the world's most successful system for adiabatic humidification. Its hygienic credentials have proven successful in practice and were verified and certified by independent organizations with public responsibility.

Hybrid humidification relies exclusively on the advantages of atomization and evaporation. This results in the sustainable resolution of key problems which can emerge when these technologies are used in isolation. The humidification system is therefore the first choice in terms of hygiene, energy-efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Projects and References

AOE GmbH, Wiesbaden (Germany)

Shortly before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the software service provider AOE decided to use additional air humidification. Since then, the company has not only been convinced of the positive effect of optimal air humidity, but also sees health protection as an independent corporate value. Hybrid models of presence and remote work will pose new challenges for AOE in terms of workplace design in the future.

BluePrint AG, München (Germany)

To protect against electrostatic charges, BluePrint uses energy-saving in-room humidification with high-pressure nozzles from Condair.

Robert Koch-Institut, Berlin (Germany)

With the retrofitting of in-room humidification systems, the Robert Koch-Institute protects laboratory staff from health risks and increases their well-being.
