For Homeowners
For Contractors and Installers

    • The air in your home is always trying to reach its saturation point. It will absorb water wherever it can, from our bodies, your pets, your furniture and even your house plants. As a result, your skin, throat, and nasal passages dry out, leaving you more susceptible to physical discomfort, colds, flu, and increased infections.
    • Dry air causes dry, itchy skin.
    • Dry air cracks woodwork, floors, artwork, instruments, and furnishings.
    • Static electricity (caused by dry air) can damage computers, and other electronic equipment, requiring expensive repair.
    • Decreases heating bills.
    • Healthy and better sleep.
    • Germs love dry air. In dry air, germ droplets contract and dry out. This preserves pathogens and keeps them airborne and highly infectious for a very long time.
    • Humidified air kills germs. At optimal humidity (40–60% RH) the germ droplets remain moist. The salt concentration inside increases to such an extent that pathogens are rendered inactive within a short time.

  • Ideal humidity is between 40% - 60% RH (relative humidity).

  • The Condair HumiLife whole-home steam humidifier generates hygienic, atmospheric steam by boiling water at 212°F (100°C). This effectively kills all germs and bacteria in the water, providing pure, clean water vapor to humidify the air in the most hygienic way. The vaporization process uses normal tap water without additional water treatment. The water vapor is introduced into the forced air ventilation system to provide whole-home humidity control.

  • The Condair HumiLife evaporative humidifier is a bypass-style humidifier which introduces humidification by passing warm furnace air across an industry-unique ceramic media pad. Install this directly to your furnace to supply your entire home with healthy, comfortable humidified air. The humidity is moved by the furnace blower motor through the duct system and is distributed throughout the home. Simple installation and automatic operation makes the Condair HumiLife whole-home evaporative humidifier a seamless solution for improving your home’s indoor climate

  • No, our unit comes with a power cord that plugs into an outlet.

  • It is reusable and does not need replacing! Simply clean the pad by placing it in your machine dishwasher on a standard cycle. It is designed for ideal whole-home humidification with forced air heating systems.

  • Condair recommends buying our products through local contractors and dealers. You can also purchase them through www.condairparts.com

    • An air proving switch is an automatic pressure switch that measures air pressure at the exhaust chamber. It is recommended for use with a safety air valve.
    • A duct sensor measures air temperature and humidity in the ductwork. The probe sticks into the air stream of the ductwork. As the air passes over it, the probe changes resistance. Duct sensors are located on the return side and the upstream of any filters or introduction of outside air detects smoke coming from an air-conditioned space. This eliminates interference caused by outside smoke or heat-strip dust-accumulation burn off.

  • Mold is not a concern for Condair HumiLife whole-home humidifiers. Condair HumiLife utilizes up to three sensors to eliminate the concern of lingering humidity in the duct, as well as automatic fan operation after humidification has stopped to rid any remaining humidity in the ducts.

  • Yes, there is a five-year warranty after purchase.

  • After downloading the Condair HumiLife mobile app, you will be able to create an account and remotely control your home

  • Like most furnace filters, a cylinder should be changed annually. The Condair HumiLife mobile app will alert you when replacement is advised or necessary.

  • Clean the ceramic media pad at least once per humidification season or as otherwise directed by the Condair HumiLife app.

  • You can find manuals for all Condair HumiLife humidifiers on the Condair HumiLife whole-home steam and evaporative humidifier pages respectively.

  • Consult your unit’s operation manual and reference the troubleshooting section or contact your local contractor. Condair HumiLife whole-home humidifiers are equipped with powerful connectivity and cloud technology, so contractors and Condair representatives can remotely diagnose any issues with your device.

  • The sensor that comes with the humidifier is a 2-10V DC sensor, so it should be “internal 2-10” unless the jumper inside the sensor was moved to 0-10V. This issue has been resolved with a software update. If your app still is having this issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

  • Humidity sensor or transmitter location has a significant impact on humidifier performance. Placing a sensor in the center of a room or inside a return air duct will give the best all-around control. Do not place a sensor near a supply duct, on a perimeter wall, in sunlight or near a heat-producing object. The humidity sensor should be located where it can measure an average space temperature and humidity.

  • On the duct work or remotely on a nearby side wall. We can install on the ductwork due to how light the humidifier is.

  • A humidity switch is a must for most humidifier installations and is mounted in the duct downstream of the dispersion assembly. It is usually set at 90 per cent relative humidity (RH). If duct RH rises above that setting, it will shut down the humidifier. Wetted media, also known as evaporative humidifiers, cannot oversaturate the airstream, so a duct high-limit humidistat is not a requirement. To ensure proper operation, the high-limit sensor must be located far enough downstream of the disperser to allow for full absorption and for humidity to equalize in the airstream. Otherwise, short-cycling of the humidifier can occur, resulting in an unsatisfied humidification demand.

  • The POS display is a display stand available to contractors with a customer facing storefront. This display is a visual exhibit of the features and benefits of the Condair HumiLife whole-home steam humidifier to your customers.

  • The contractor toolbox is an all-inclusive guide to help you start selling Condair HumiLife whole-home humidifiers and outlines how we can help you.

  • You can find manuals for all Condair HumiLife whole-home humidifiers on the Condair HumiLife whole-home steam and evaporative humidifier pages respectively.

  • The Condair HumiLife mobile app is a critical component of Condair HumiLife whole-home humidifier’s operation after it is installed.
